Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist- Release Date October 3, 2008

The trailer for Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist has finally dropped. I can't believe it took so long for a trailer to come out when the movie is not so far away. The movie is based on a popular book by the same name. The movie stars Kat Dennings and Michael Cera. Both are up and coming stars. Michael Cera was on the TV show Arrested Development and received his big breakthrough with Superbad and Juno. Kat Dennings was in the movie Charlie Bartlett and will also be in The House Bunny. The House Bunny is set to release next Friday. She also had smaller roles in The 40 Year Old Virgin and Raise Your Voice. Both are young stars that are proving they are very talented. So it is nice to see both in a movie together. However the movie also stars Aaron Yoo, Ari Gaynor, and Alexis Dziena. You may remember Aaron Yoo as Ronnie in Disturbia. In my opinion, he made that movie great. I often say how much I like the fact that Disturbia had it's comic relief instead of constant peril throughout. Aaron's character provided much of the comedic moments in the film. Alexis Dziena was in Fool's Gold as a snobby little heiress. Ari Gaynor has appeared in many TV shows and had very small roles in films.

The film is about high school student Nick O'Leary, member of the a band called The Jerk Offs, meets college-bound Norah Silverberg, whom he asks to be his girlfriend for five minutes in order to avoid her friend and his ex-sweetheart. What follows is a night they will remember and one that will change their lives.

What confuses me a little is by the looks of the trailer it looks like it is Norah that asks Nick to be her boyfriend for five minutes. However that is by look of the trailer. Guess we will have to see the movie to find out.
