New and FINAL Twilight Trailer Released!

Hi Everyone! Sorry I have been gone for about a month. I am currently in school and just haven't had the time to post that much. I apologize for that. I will say that tons has happened in the world of Hollywood and film since my last post. I will try and make another post to update anyone on that stuff. Even though some of it is fairly old news now.

However, the new Twilight trailer released today. If you aren't familiar with the books this trailer goes into a little more depth for you.

The movie of course stars Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart. If you haven't seen my previous posts. It will drop on November 21, 2008 instead of it's original December 7, 2008. Thanks Warner Bros. for moving back Harry Potter or they might have never changed that date.

IT'S CONFIRMED!!!!

BIG NEWS TODAY! Michael Caine spilled the beans on who is the next villain for the Batman franchise.

It is not ONE but TWO villains that will appear in the third installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise. He apparently like the rest of us saw the tabloids that mentioned Johnny Depp and Philip Seymour as cast members.

Here is the a bit from the article

“When Christopher [Nolan] said we were going to do ‘The Dark Knight’ next, I didn’t what that meant in Batman terms,” related Caine, who plays Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler, Alfred Pennyworth. “I said, ‘What’s the story?’ and he said The Joker. I said, ‘Oh, s-t! How are you going to top Jack [Nicholson]?’ He said, ‘Well, I’ve cast Heath Ledger. And I went ‘Ha! I couldn’t top Jack, but if anyone could, maybe Heath could.’ And he did.

“I was with [a Warner Bros.] executive and I said, ‘Are we going to make another one?’ They said yeah. I said, ‘How the hell are we going to top Heath? And he says ‘I’ll tell you how you top Heath — Johnny Depp as The Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin.’ I said, ‘S-t, they’ve done it again!’” [Laughs]

I honestly could not be happier. Depp can take even the quirkiest roles and make them spectacular. Yes, I am a huge fan of his. Philip Seymour Hoffman has shown us all through Capote that he can definatly act. I have seen brief clips of him in MI:3 where he also played the villian, and he did a good job. However, within the last hour news is appearing that he hasn't even been offered the role yet. His response if they indeed did approach him and if he would do it

“Comic book movies in general I look forward to — I am a real cheerleader for them. I want them to do well because those are terrific stories. As a kid I was a big comic book collector. What [Nolan]’s doing is taking it in a whole other exciting great place. I’m more a fan, so the interest of being in it isn’t that great. It’s more the interest in wanting to see the next one. It’s probably better that way.”

When further pressed for his level of interest in the role if Warner Bros. approached him about the role, Hoffman said, “I don’t know. I think I’m more interested in seeing someone else do it. I don’t know if I’d be a good Penguin to be quite honest. [laughs]”

I think he is crazy! I think he would be PERFECT for the role. I think he really underestimates himself. Hopefully they can convince him to do it. Maybe if he isn't in it we can still hope that there is still some truth that Depp will appear...

The Secret Life of Bees- Release Date October 17, 2008

I remember reading the book last summer for summer reading. I think it was one of the few books I actually enjoyed reading for summer reading. I had to read Brave New World this year. I found it really boring and somewhat confusing than to the The Secret Life of Bees.

First off I have to say this... SHE'S BACK! Dakota Fanning is finally returning to the big screen. She is not the little girl that we remember from Charlotte's Web a few years back. She actually didn't really disappear rather than take on a few roles in some relatively unknown films.

However you can tell that she could very well continue her career to her adult life if she wanted. Why do I think that? Because she shocked me as soon as I saw her in the trailer. She uses a lovely Southern accent. It might have come easy for her she was born in Georgia but permanetly resides in LA. But I took on a role in a school play where I had to do a French accent. While a southern accent isn't hard for me since I live in Georgia (please note that I actually don't have the accent just I can pull one off) but a French accent was beyond difficult. She has always been known as the child actress that took on dramatic roles. But she really seems to pull it off in the trailer. I am very impressed to see how much she has grown from a little kid to a fine actress. That talent scout sure had a good eye when they saw her. She is proving to be more talented than we may have thought. Now I know that this is early to say but... that book has a mighty powerful story. If told right it could be Oscar worthy. Here is the story set in South Carolina in 1964, the tale of Lily Owens, a 14-year-old girl who is haunted by the memory of her late mother. To escape her lonely life and troubled relationship with her father, Lily flees with Rosaleen, her caregiver and only friend, to a South Carolina town that holds the secret to her mother's past. Taken in by the intelligent and independent Boatwright sisters, Lily finds solace in their mesmerizing world of beekeeping, honey and the Black Madonna.

Other stars in the film Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Tristan Wilds (catch him on the new 90210, Hilarie Burton (very talented, also can catch her on One Tree Hill), and Sophie Okonedo.

REPO! The Genetic Opera Release GROWING!!

So I am hearing a lot of stuff swirling that cities have been added for Repo! The Genetic Opera's Nov. 4th release. I could not be more excited. Critics keep saying this film is the next hit cult classic. They must be correct because the film is no longer showing on just 10 screens in LA... and then NYC. Now it has grown to Las Vegas and San Francisco. Then it will show at Fantastic Fest in Austin and also festivals in Toronto and Halifax. I thought that they already showed it in Toronto at a festival. But I could be wrong about that. It is also RUMORED that Atlanta is in the works. However there is no guarentee. I hope they seal the deal for Atlanta cause then you will here a review in the coming months from me about the film. I will keep you posted.

He made famous the line "In a world where...". He not only voiced over movie trailers but tv spots and commercials. It is reported that he voiced over 5,000 trailers. He was also the Screen Actors Guild and the Academy Awards. He also voiced tv shows like Entertainment Tonight and Insider. Needless to say that the Entertainment Industry will absolutly never be the same without him. He was 68 years old. RIP

Transformers 2 Poster Revealed!!

The poster for Transformers 2 or also being called Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is here! Also released some paparazzi photos of star Shia Labeouf shirtless and looking rather burned and bloody. He has also been switching around between a big cast on his hand to a small splint version. In case you didn't know Shia had major surgery on his hand for an accident he was in last month where his car flipped. Those injuries were written into the script because if it wasn't the movie would have to stop shooting for a month. Megan Fox has been seen around the set chowing down because producers wanted her to bulk up for the role. The film is aiming for a June 26, 2009 release.

This Is Why Movie Sets Look Like Fun

So many of us know that sometimes celebrities just want to have a little fun on the set of a movie filming. After all stars like George Clooney are known for the pranks they pull on costars while shooting. Well I came across this clip. Turns out Zac Efron of High School Musical fame likes to throw water balloons at his costars when they least expect it. Well they didn't find it too funny so they planned their revenge. Here it is all caught on tape. High School Musical 3 will be the first movie of the franchise to release in theatres. It is also the last installment of the franchise. It is set to release October 24, 2008.

Costars Get Revenge on Zac Ephron (Clip)

Note: You should all know how much I debated putting this up. Since I hate the High School Musical franchise.
