Beverly Hills Chihuahua- Release Date October 3, 2008

Can Disney get anymore weird on us? Honestly... I remember going to see What Happens in Vegas on the premiere of Sex and the City (wasn't a great idea I know). I saw the cardboard standup at the movie theatre. I was kinda excited due to the fact my family owns a little chihuahua. Then I saw the movie teaser trailer. I was laughing so hard. First off you should know the "Chihuahua Song" used in the teaser was around way before Beverly Hills Chihuahua. So I found it funny they used it. But the teaser was atrocious. No joke all it involved was chihuahuas dancing to the song. It didn't reveal anything about the plot. Even worse you didn't even know who was in the movie... by that I mean who voiced the characters. Except George Lopez of course who is the voice of Papi.

However since then the actual trailer has released although I can't find the a link to give you ANYWHERE. No everyone is far more facinated by the teaser than by the actual trailer. In fact a ton of people are mistakenly calling the teaser the trailer. Anyways the actual full trailer is decent. You actually get a taste of the movie. The plot is fairly decent. I can say that I think George Lopez is hysterical as Papi.

Papi: If you ever need someone to lick inside your ears. I would be most honored.

I am sorry just that line gets me everytime! But anyways I think I will definatly pass on this movie. I also found the clips/promos for the movie. I have to say that I had Gizmo watch them. He didn't find them funny at all. He kinda just gave me a blank stare with this "WTF is this?" look in his eyes. NOT EVEN MY CHIHUAHUA LIKES IT!

Also in case you didn't notice. The release date has indeed changed for the movie. It was originally slated to come out on September 26, 2008. Now it has been changed and move up a weekend (October 3, 2008). I think that was a VERY smart move. There are some big highly anticipated movies slated to release that weekend it was supposed to come out (Eagle Eye, Miracle at St. Anna, Blindness, Nights in Rodanthe).
